Noel and I often talked about "giving something back" - we have been attending the Mater for so many years, and the care and kindness shown to both of us has been simply wonderful. In Noel's last few days in St Theresa's Ward, we chatted about everything and anything, and we felt it would be nice to make a contribution to both St Theresa's and St Vincent's Day Ward. We would like the money to be divided between the two, and for the staff in both to be consulted to see where it could be put to the best use. Noel being the modest and unassuming man that he was, would never seek the limelight, but I would love if it were possible, to see perhaps a little plaque or painting in St Vincent's Ward, dedicated to Noel's memory - I will understand though if that is not possible.
